Nazrudin USA

The original forefathers (or grandfathers if you have a good sense of humor) of the group are Richard Wagner and George Kinder. The group was founded in March 1995 when George and Dick invited 75 CFPs to a meeting in Estes Park, Colorado. Approximately 40 people showed up. This was the beginning.

The philosophy of the group, as best stated by Dick Wagner, is that money is more than numbers. Financial planning concerns the whole person and not just dollars. The financial planning profession has come into being and is thriving because people have a need to deal with the interface of money and their lives in a holistic, comprehensive manner.

The Nazrudin Project, in turn, is a loose affiliation of financial planners and other professionals devoted to working with their clients and their profession in manners that recognize these forces. We recognize the human aspects of money and the fact that financial decisions can have spiritual repercussions, can affect intangible life goals, and can impact larger social issues. Our business is conducted informally using the Internet, an informal system of governance and meeting run on a system of open architecture.

It is very important to remember that volunteers run Nazrudin. We do not have paid staff. Everything is done through email or the website. You must be able to email and navigate the Internet to get additional information about our activities. We do not have snail mail, telephone or FAX capabilities.

Our major leaderless meeting is held once a year.
